From tomorrow on I will go back to school to get some work experience.
Hopefully to become a teacher is really my thing

LAZY AND BORING DAYS
Since I am back I am hanging around, doing nothing. Plus I have a really bad jet lag.
I can remember the day when I called Sarah (german time 5am) because I couldn't sleep. I tried to sleep, but I couldn't.
Everyone who knows me, asked what I had done. I took drugs! Haha and I was so cranky, bitchy and unhappy with my whole life. No sleep pulls you down!
My poor mum and dad, I am sorry by the way, but you didn't understand me :-(
I was happy when I talked to Sarah, because she knows how it feels when you are really cranky because of no sleep, I know how Sarah is!!!
I wasn't sure if I did the right thing, leaving Chicago. Maybe I only ran away from my situation and my life, but who cares.
I am back and I noticed that I could never be a jobless person. Never in my entire life. You are living for nothing.
My sister was annoying me, because she asked all the time what I think about my future and bladibla. She was pissing me off! Hey let me live my own life, I know what to do, because until now I did everything on my own. But she didn't stop, thank god that someone else talked to her
I tried my best to get a job, but they don't have any left and I am not disposed to drive far away for the money I would get!
I will see what will happen, I have time now!

Goodbye USA
Don't write on your homepage that you can take 2 suitcases รก 32kg when your employees don't know anything of it!!!
O'Hare, 11.30
To get a parking spot at airports might be difficult, but isn't it there damned job that they have trolley carts. NO! Chicago doesn't think it could be necessary and more easier for tourists. Three suitcases a medium-sized adidas back filled with presents for home, a side pocket plus a bag with presents from friends and Sarah and Lara. We were load like camels! It took us ages to get to my terminal with all these things.
At the terminal I payed the money for the third suitcase and after weighing she said I had to pay again because it wouldn't be allowed to take more than 32kg. Luckily Sarah was there, because I stood there with my mouth wide open. Not this amount again, please not!
The lady accepted our story about the internet, because we said the truth! All cunts there.
No time for a big farewell, because I was late. Two crying girls at the airport with the hope that they will see each other as soon as possible.
The gate was like always in the hindmost corner at the flight was bad! I hate United, their pilotes win their license by playing skat or whatever. Bad landings guys really bad!
When my airplane would turn into a jumping rabbit when I try to get back on the ground I would think about my abilities!
YES! Fortunately I changed airplanes and companies, theres nothing like Lufthansa.
But to get to this gate I had to ask some policeman who didn't know the right way, but I found one person who could help me. "You have to go out of this building, catch a bus but I can't tell you exactly which one, and then you will arrive there where you want to go" "Oh, thanks a lot (you asshole why are you working here when you don't know anything, he?)
I was angry but was still friendly to all the people I asked, none but fools.
I trust myself and I found it! Yeah, this is what I wanted to do in my whole life: Driving over the highway to the next terminal. Why can't they built it easier that everything is connected.
The next thing was: Security. Second time that I had to take my shoes, coat off and on. The security moved my bag forward and backwards and this a couple of times. Fuck you, find something, whatever you do I don't care anymore!
Nice as some Americans can be they apologised. Cute :-)
I got excited when I saw my airplane rolling to the gate.
I love flying, nothing is better than this.
Before the boarding started, this stupid lady said that all foreigners, except Canada, had to go to the computer to take a photo and to get a dactylogram on a piece of paper. Screw you, I did it before with my Visa, but they wanted to get sure that I am not criminal. Wohoho I am a typical gangster from Germany!!
Glad to sit at the window and to relax I enjoyed a 6 and a half hour flight included half hour turbolenzes over greenland. The flight attendants were very friendly, but I had no sleep, because this bloody lady next to me moved from left to right and from right to left the whole time.
The Arrival was scheduled at 8.58am. Hey, although we were late because of boarding, which took us 1hour we were too early and that sucks. Another 40min flying in circles because we didn't get the clearance to land, I felt like in a roller coaster :-)
I got all my suitcases, no one got lost, but one was checked by security. I couldn't deal with this anymore and so I missed three or more times that one of my suitcase passed me. Leave me all alone, this is what I thought.
People starred at me, when they saw me coming out because I couldn't look over this hill of suitcases!
Happy to see my parents again, we opened a bottle of champagne at the parking garage and I had a bad jet lag which I never have had before in my entire life

LAST SUNDAY IN THE USA
Sarah and I went to Wallgreens to print some photos of the hostfamily and me. I wanted to create a picture frame for them.
For lunch my hostfamily invited us (Sarah, Judith and me) to a restaurant to say goodbye.
Judith had a good conversation with the new AuPair and I was together with Sarah, like always :-)
In the evening I wanted to go back to say goodbye without anyone around me and to give them the picture frame. More private.
It doesn't make any sense to talk about this farewell. It wasn't sad but rather mean!!!
No tear in the house but many in the car, because I have never been treated that way in my entire life!!!
As a smoker needs his cigarette I needed my coffee!
Judith and Sarah tried their best to make me happy again and they were right, why should I be sad the last day instead of being happy that I would go home the other day?
Aren't we cute at Starbucks??!!
We were there along time and some people were looking at us strange girls :-)
MMMMMMHHHHHH YUMMY THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY
This was our next stop to see Kelly and Nadine, two other friends of us
We had a great dinner and I used my trick to get a drink again, although it seemed close that they wouldn't believe me. After some seconds Judith and Nadine could breath again, they were more anxious than me :-)
Judith seemed that she enjoyed her sip from my drink, gell?
I don't know for who the cook from the Cheesecake Factory cooks, because it's too much but so so so good and you can eat the next two days from it. I am sure you all would love it!
At the end we all ordered the famous Cheesecake. Very difficult when you can choose from 25 or more types of Cheesecake :-)
Sweet Dreams for the sweetest five girls in America
KELLY The Tiramisu cheesecake
NADINE The Original One No. 1
JUDITH The Original One No. 2
SARAH the Strawberry Cheesecake
I the Key Lime Cheesecake
A big kiss for sweet Sarah
I already miss you and hope that we will stay in contact forever!!
Hopefully you really can come to visit me in May!
I will never forget the fun I had with you, it was a great time!!!!
BUT I AM HAPPY TO GO HOME AFTER ALL THIS SHIT!!!

LAST SATURDAY WITH MY FRIENDS
Sarah and me thought that our last two days in the USA together should be very special. We decided that we would do a sightseeing tour through Chicago, all the places we haven't seen before. To many things for one day, but we had other plans for Sunday.
We planned to go Downtown very early. In the morning I packed my suitcases and Sarah picked me up with all my stuff, yes its true Sarah :-) , around 10am. I didn't want to stay at my hostfamilies house when the next AuPair would arrive. Why should I?
In the end we left Arlinghton Heights, Sarah's place, at 2pm so that we arrived Downtown at 3pm. Well, it was still fine because we had a great lunch at PANERA, one of our favourite restaurants near us. We love it!
Sarah enjoys her yummy lunch
After that we got our coffee and took some photos in Arlinghton. After that we left to go Downtown.
Look at me!!!!
The Sears Tower was the first thing on our list. How you can see on my photo Chicago is a wonderful city. On the right (photo) you can see the John Hanckock Building
It was wonderful and it made fun, but we left it quickly because we wouldn't have had enough time for all the other important things. We caught a taxi to the Aquarium, because childish Lara wanted to see a shark in reality.
This bloody taxi driver took a longer way, but at least I was able to take a good pic of Buckingham Fountain.
You don't know it? That you have to watch Married ... With Children
No way into the Aquarium, because of the price! NOOOOO because we paid so much for the taxi, what an asshole, that we decided not to go into it :-(
Bloody money, why can't we change things. I would have given them my bra Sarah her underway and we would have got our tickets, everything would be fine, but ...
"Hey, let's go to the Field Museum"
Great, because they would have a T-Rex which I missed in New York.
We walked up the steps and a nice man told us that the muesum closed five minutes ago. Shit! That was the time to get cranky. I took a photo of it anyway to say that I saw it at least from the outside.
2007 seems not better than 2006
Yepp, we gave up and went shopping! All the museums were closed and we were annoyed from our bad luck.
Sarah, do me a favor and visit all these places I haven't been to in Chicago and take a lot of photos!
Bad luck but always smiling and happy Sarah and Lara

NEW YORK CITY
28th of December I left Chicago to celebrate the New Year on Time Square!
I was so exited to see the ball drop, because everyone told me it would be fantastic and the whole USA would watch it on TV. Well,...
My plane took off at 4pm and to be honest I was nervous. To fly with a company you don't now is not very easy for me, but I did it before so ....
I had to change planes in Detroit and waited hours for the next one to get to NY. I think it was around 9.30pm when I arrived in Newark, BUT my trip wasn't over yet. To get to my friend I had to catch some trains and I was so annoyed because it took me ages to arrive. Especially this big suitcase made everything more difficult. I think everyone who knows me can imagine how many cloths I had with me for 3 days :-)
Anyway, in the end I arrived at 2 o'clock at the trainstation where I was supposed to be, but we had another 20 minutes drive to her place. I was done after all this shit!!!
The other day I slept in and I went Downtown, for god's sake, I had to pay 20$ for a ticket to get there. Chicago is so so cheap!
What are you doing when you are in New York City by yourself without a sightseeing book or a map? I was glad that I foound the Empire State Building. I paid a package so I could watch a movie about NY (history and stuff like that). It is wonderful to see NY from the top, but it is not great when you are on your own. There's no one to share all these impressive things! I took some photos and left the building. I asked some people on the street which way I have to go to the Rockefeller Center and I can be happy that Americans are friendly. On my way I passed this huge church. In front of it they played techno music (church style) and to the rythm of the music they lit up snowflakes falling down the wall of the church. Understandable??
I left this place and went to the Rockefeller Center to see the big Christmas tree in front of it. Hopefully you can see how huge it was. This place was so filled that I left quickly to go to the Broadway (Time Square) and went shopping because it was already 6pm and the Guggenheim was closed plus the Museum of History. Especially the Museum of History I wanted to see because they made Night At The Museum in it! Great everything was working out for me very well! Whatever...
I had to do what a woman has to do: Shopping!
I left NY at 9pm and wasn't in a good mood. It is not very great when you are visiting a friend and she has no time for you.
My next day wasn't better at all. I wanted to see the Statue of Liberty, what means as close as possible! We stood in the line for the tickets about 2hours, I think, the ticket sellers end up in telling us that there wouldn't be any tickets left! Hello?! We stood there in this fucking freezing air and for what?!
This was the type of Statue I got to see
Let's go to ground zero! It was sad, although I haven't seen the Twin Towers live before but your mind shows you all these pics you have seen on TV when they broke down. It was difficult to take a photo because they built up walls that you can't look threw it, but I got one!
That was my second day and I haven't seen the half of what I normally wanted to see! There is only one day left: 31th of December. I was sure that we wouldn't go Downtown again to go sightseeing, because we would spend ages to get ready for the big party.
I coloured my hair and it turned out orange. This was the last thing I needed in 2006! Orange hair. Everyone would like it especially I loved it. I tried to do my best to get rid of this orange, washing and washing and washing. It was still in there, so I had to deal with it. The party was fun.
Yes, I went into the club with 20. You know what I did to get in, NO,
it doesn't have anything to do with guys :-)
We left the party at 3am and got something to eat. Yes, not everything is closed by this time. It's The American Dream!
My friend brought me to the trainstation at 4am and I sat there by myself till 5.15am to catch the train to the airport, by the way, my plane was scaduled at 11.30am. You are all able to calculate how many hours I was at this bloody airport. It is for sure not comfy to sleep on these seats at the aiport.
Going back to Chicago to see Sarah again was my biggest wish at this moment, but I had to change planes in Minniapolis. Around 4pm I sat next to Sarah in the car and was crancky about my trip, which costed me more than 400$ and this for bloody 2 days in New York City!
So who is going with me to New York City again?!
